Ein Tiefdruck (geschabte Aquatinta) übernimmt die Funktion des Bühnenbildes.
Die drei Akte der Komödie, eine Reise durch Hölle, Fegefeuer und Paradies, spielen sich in diesem Bühnenraum ab. Die 22 einzelnen Szenen werden dabei jeweils als Zeichnung oder als Collage eingefügt. Jedes Blatt ist somit ein Unikat.
